Bieber gig axed after stunt horror

Justin Bieber was forced to cancel a German TV appearance last night when a stunt on the show went horrendously wrong.

The broadcast of the hugely popular ‘Wetten Dass’ was cancelled after daredevil Samuel Koch was seriously injured as he attempted to jump over a moving car driven by his father.

Koch was wearing special suspension shoes but misjudged the jump, falling face-down on the floor in front of the stunned audience.

The show’s crewmembers and paramedics rushed to the daredevil as shocked presenters Thomas Gottschalk and Michelle Hunziker called for a doctor.

Teen star Justin was due to perform later on the show, but expressed his concern, tweeting: "Please pray for Samuel Koch & his family as we wait and hope for his health and safety."

Bieber added that he was disappointed to have missed out on entertaining his German fans but promised to be back. He said, "some things are more important than putting on a show".

Koch was taken to hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery on multiple fractures to his back. His condition is described by doctors as "extremely critical" but no longer life threatening.
